At this moment, we begin the third semester of this experimental collaboration, which has produced a number of interesting projects, especially in the field of video/film making and animation. At the beginning of our collaboration, we had to clarify the expectations from both sides and have a mutual understanding of what it means to work as animators using a camera, sound equipment and other film techniques. At present, through this collaboration, we can now proudly showcase a series of four short commercials that were done between one student of Media Studies and one student of the Studio Animation and Interactive Art guided by Prof. Jiří Bárta.
"In the process of creating, the students learn how to work with camera, they manage to use basic editing techniques and work with sound. Students of Media Studies learn how to use various animation techniques. The result is a collective work which, in an original way, combines both video/film making and animation", says Mr. Vojtěch Domlátil.
We will soon start a new semester of joint workshops organized in Germany and the Czech Republic. Again, we will visit the town of Bärnau, where we will look for inspiration about the Middle Ages from the 29th to 31st of March. We will work on the diverse life portraits of medieval craftsmen - masons, carpenters and blacksmiths, which will be accompanied by playful animations and animated historical illustrations. Another workshop will be held at our Faculty from the 24th to 26th of May.
The above-mentioned students' works and other short advertising spots which represent the historical park of Bärnau – Tachov can be seen here .
