Are you interested in the opportunity to spend up to three inspiring summer weeks in Pilsen, to meet other creative people, draw on experience from professional artists, prepare yourself for talent exams or just develop your talents in various fields of art? Our ArtCamp will let you do all of this.
The summer school will take place 10 - 28 July, 2023.
Deadline for registrations: 31 May 2023.
About the courses
The courses of the ArtCamp International Summer School of Art are suitable for preparation for exams and for university art studies.
The summer school participants can combine various courses according to their needs and their focus in order to create their individual schedule of their studies with the total duration of one to three weeks.
Following your course character, basic technical equipment and creative material will be available to you as well. Before starting your course, you will be informed on what additional equipment and creative supplies you will need to bring.
Our teaching takes place from Monday to Friday, usually 8 lessons (45 minutes each) per day (contact lessons + independent work):
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. / Lessons
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. / Lunch break
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. / Lessons
The course time may vary depending on your specific course content. Most courses also include homework, possibly also evening work (e.g. as part of cultural events, etc.)
The courses take place in the studios and workshops of the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art (Univerzitní 28, University Campus of the UWB in Pilsen - Bory) or in the open air.
Please note that the course Digital Photography / Masterclass will take place at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague (Poupětova 3, Prague). This course does not include any supplemental services (accommodation and food are provided/arranged by the participants themselves).
On every Friday afternoon (approx. 2 – 3 p.m.), a presentation of the results of the weekly work of the participants will take place in the studios, after which the successful course graduates will receive their Certificates of completion. A condition for obtaining the certificate is one’s regular attendance, active course participation, and completion of one’s assigned tasks.
Please, pay special attention to the course teaching language. If two languages are specified for a course, both languages will be spoken in the case of a joint group of Czech and foreign participants.
cs = Czech language
en = English language
sk = Slovak language
jp = Japanese language
The course overview includes courses without any level identified in their title or text thanks to the individual approach to the student and small group teaching. These courses are suitable for any advancement level.
How much does it cost?
We keep the prices of our courses as low as possible, because we wish for as many of you as possible to come and try your summer studies at the Sutnar Faculty. We wish to create an inspiring and international environment for you, to provide you with important contacts with Czech and foreign art personalities, and to inspire you. We have already found numerous unique talents, future students and graduates of our school among our participants.
The ArtCamp is at our hearts, and we can no longer imagine summer life at the Sutnar Faculty without it. Will you become a part of it?
If so, you will need the following formula to calculate the final amount for each week of your participation:
Course price + accommodation price + price of public transportation pass = super ArtCamp experience
Of course, you do not have to use the option of arranging accommodation in a dormitory or prepaying a public transportation pass, so you will only look at the amounts for specific courses that you choose from our offer for three weeks of the summer school.
Selection made? Decision made? Then all you have to do is fill out the application, make a payment as soon as possible and start looking forward to your exceptional summer in Pilsen.
