Our approach to the topic is based on global trends in urban mobility as well as other fields. Current urban mobility development is linked to changes in our society. The ever-changing and growing human agglomerations bring new possibilities but also challenges. Automatization, digitalisation and alternative fuels along with growing and ageing population present enormous challenges. Urban mobility systems must be sustainable, effective, reliable, user friendly and need to factor in the balance between social, environmental and economic needs. That means that urban mobility requires interdisciplinary research approaches focusing on the development of technological and social innovations.
We design means of transport and their parts and think about public spaces with emphasis on transport. Our teams composed of experts in various fields engage in tasks focusing on value concepts, come up with new systems and optimise existing solutions. With the help of modern technologies, we research trends of the coming decades.
