In collaboration with the Czech representation of Royal Enfield, we designed a light bonnet for a café racer motorcycle. It is based upon the produced model RE 650 Continental GT. We have modified its geometry to be more suitable for racing. The shape of the gas tank enables the racer to lean easily. We used modelling clay to create a 1:1 scale model. In the process, we respected Royal Enfield’s specifics and characteristics and our design has simple and austere lines referring to the golden age of race motorcycles from the 1950s. We are currently working on creating a functional prototype.
