A design of a nesting box for bats. The project was consulted with experts focusing on long-term observation and protection of bats. The boxes replace the bats’ natural shelters – hollow trunks and branches of old broadleaved trees and crevices behind old bark of doddered wood which have largely disappeared from our landscape due to deforestation. The box is being tested in the Nature Reserve Sladkovský les.
